This month marks the start of the NBA summer league, with all 30 teams coming together for the yearly showcase in Las Vegas from July 12–22.
In both the Salt Lake City Summer League (July 8–10) and the California Classic Summer League (July 6–10 in San Francisco and Sacramento), a number of clubs will start play sooner.
Teams will face teams made up of their second-year players and recently drafted prospects during summer league play. Some of the best rookies in the league, including first-round selections like Zaccharie Risacher, Alex Sarr, and Reed Sheppard, are expected to arrive in Las Vegas.
Teams will compete for a roster space with G League players, veterans, and two-way players.
From July 12 to July 19, each team will play four games in Las Vegas. The playoffs will thereafter be reached by the top four teams. On July 21, there will be two semifinal matches, and on July 22, there will be the championship match. A fifth game involving the remaining 26 teams is scheduled for July 20 or 21.
