Dominic Iorfa, of Ipswich Town, signs a new deal with Sheffield Wednesday.
Dominic Iorfa, a former loanee from Ipswich Town, inked a new deal to stay with Sheffield Wednesday.
The 29-year-old defender, who was going to become a free agent this summer, has instead signed a new contract to prolong his tenure at Hillsborough.
Iorfa joined the Owls from Wolves in January 2019 and has played more than 100 games for the South Yorkshire club since then.
He played a crucial part in their promotion to the Championship in the 2022/23 season and was instrumental in Danny Rohl’s team, which narrowly avoided relegation from the second tier last year.
Regarding his new contract on X (formerly Twitter), he expressed his satisfaction: “Delighted to have committed to this club with a new contract. Excited for the upcoming season!”
During his loan from Wolves in the 2017/18 season, Iorfa featured 25 times for the Blues, netting one goal in total.
