Football: TCU signs four-star cornerback Micah Strickland in 2025, making another big recruiting splash that brings the class of 2025 to 21 players.

On Friday afternoon, TCU Football’s June recruiting hot streak reached unprecedented heights when four-star cornerback Micah Strickland of Brownsboro, Texas, announced on Instagram that he had committed to the Horned Frogs.

Strickland is the eleventh recruit this month and the twenty-first member of TCU’s 2025 recruiting class. Strickland turned down offers from Texas Tech, Michigan, Nebraska, Baylor, and other schools in favor of the Horned Frogs.

Former teammate of TCU 2024 four-star wide receiver Gekyle Baker of the Brownsboro Bears, Strickland is a very skilled competitor in both basketball and track & field. According to 247Sports Composite ratings, the 6-foot-175-pound defensive back (DB) was named to the First Team All-District in 2023.

He is ranked among the top high school cornerbacks in the country, in the Top 15 at his position, and in the Top 25 players in the state of Texas overall. Three positions ahead of EDGE Chad Woodfork, Strickland is ranked No. 156 nationally, making him the highest rated player in TCU’s class.
