After a DNA test, Jayson Tatum confirm that Deuce is not his biological son but the child of…

At the Boston 2024 NBA finals on Monday, June 17, the 26-year-old star of the Celtics won a great victory. And Jayson “Deuce” Christopher Tatum Jr., his 6-year-old son, was the first person he celebrated with on the court.

Deuce is seen embracing his father in the endearing video and beaming broadly as he says, “Daddy!”

Then, as green and white confetti began to rain down all around them, Jayson threw his son into the air and caught him. The father and son give one other a heartfelt, joyful hug before Jayson helps his kid back onto the court.

Although Deuce is well-known to Celtics supporters due to his frequent attendance on the sidelines at his father’s NBA games, Jayson stated to PEOPLE back in March that his child is prepared to carry on his renowned father’s legacy.

Talking about his new role as Coach’s ambassador, the NBA player exclusively told PEOPLE, “He just started playing basketball on the organized team.” It appears that he is becoming genuinely enamored with the game. Seeing that is exciting.”

Dressed in Celtics colors or a scaled-down imitation of his father’s jersey, Deuce will cheer on the Boston team and toss the basketball about, despite its size being equal to his own. According to Jayson, who spoke with PEOPLE, Deuce even chooses his own attire for game days, imitating his dapper father.

“His favorite thing is to look in the mirror and be like, ‘Daddy, look, I’m fresh-fresh,'” Tatum explained. “Now that he is older, he says that. His character is beginning to develop. He is becoming more self-assured about what he chooses to wear.”
