The Cincinnati Bengals started obligatory minicamp on Tuesday, marking the start of the next round of their offseason training.
Joe Burrow, the quarterback for the Bengals, spoke to the media during practice, sharing his progress from a wrist injury that ended his 2023 season early and his attitude to the offseason thus far. Less than two months remain until training camp gets underway in Cincinnati.
“It’s a constant process, that’s what coming back from injury is,” Burrow stated. “There’s going to be good days and bad days, and we’re going to take it day by day.”
The regular season kicks off at Paycor Stadium on September 8 against the New England Patriots, and Burrow stated that he will be “ready to go” before then.
Burrow, 27, gave a description of how he and the club are approaching his rehabilitation during the offseason, emphasizing the significance of methodically building back so that he may return to full fitness by September.
“We don’t have to be ready to go in the middle of June, we got to be ready to go early September through February,” Burrow stated.
