Celtic is set to spend £5m on a 24-year-old player, deemed an “incredible acquisition.”

It is now more important than ever for Celtic to sign a striker in the January transfer window, since Hyeongyu Oh and Hyunjun Yang have been called up to the South Korean Asian Cup squad.

Considering that Daizen Maeda and Kyogo Furuhashi are likely to be called up for Japan, Celtic will have a lot of obstacles in the striking area.

Yang and Oh will be attending the competition in January, the South Korean FA said this morning on social media channel X. This suggests that Korea will miss at least two games—Ross County in the league and Buckie Thistle in the Scottish Cup—depending on whether they advance in the tournament.

John Hartson is pressuring his old team to pull off a major coup by acquiring Aberdeen striker Bojan Miovski. Hartson believes Rodgers should think about paying the £5 million that the striker, who has been connected to the Hoops, deserves.

Hartson said he would be a great addition to Celtic on The Go Radio Football Show. It appears that players are able to play off of him.

Excellent in terms of backing it up. As you can see, he possesses outstanding ball control and passing abilities, in addition to being a terrific finisher.

When asked how much he would pay for the international player from North Macedonia, Hartson said, “I would pay £5 million for him.”

“I think he’s a really good athlete.”

Given Aberdeen’s current difficulties, Miovski has a proven track record of scoring goals. While his 14 goals in 27 games are great, how many more might he score on a team like Celtic that consistently creates opportunities? [Transfermarkt]

Although 24-year-old Miovski fits Celtic’s transfer strategy, it’s questionable if the team would be willing to pay a record amount to acquire a player from two Scottish rivals.
