On January 27, 2024, at 19:37 EST, a Beechcraft Super King Air 200, registration N81PF, carrying two Oklahoma State Cowboys basketball players, six Oklahoma State broadcasters, and members of the Oklahoma State coaching staff, crashed in a field 40 miles (64 kilometres) east of Denver,[1] near Strasburg, in the United States state of Colorado. During a snowstorm, the pilot became disoriented.[2][3] Following the team’s loss against the Colorado Buffaloes, the plane flew from Jefferson County Airport to Stillwater Regional Airport.
The aeroplane was carrying two crew members (pilot Denver Mills and co-pilot Bjorn Fahlstrom) as well as eight Oklahoma State basketball players. All ten died.[1] Oklahoma State University has created a tribute to them called “Remember the Ten” inside Gallagher-Iba Arena in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Buddy Holly Buddy Holly was a rock music pioneer, but his impact also extended to country music. He died on February 3, 1959, when the small plane carrying him from a show in Clear Lake, Iowa, to another event in Moorhead, Minn., crashed into a cornfield in Mason City, Iowa, shortly after taking off in poor weather. The same crash killed Ritchie Valens, the Big Bopper, and the pilot, Roger Peterson. Waylon Jennings, Holly’s bass player, was not on board since he had agreed to ride on the bus so that the Big Bopper could board the plane.
