BAD NEWS:Green Bay Packers’ last playoff loss “floored” Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones……

On Super Wild Card Weekend, the Dallas Cowboys are humiliated 48–32 at home by the Green Bay Packers; Mike McCarthy has only won one playoff game in his four years as head coach; may Bill Belichick, the New England Patriots’ six-time Super Bowl champion, take his place?

Jerry Jones, the owner of the Dallas Cowboys, expressed his shock at the team’s crushing playoff defeat at home against the Green Bay Packers on Super Wild Card Weekend, saying he hadn’t given head coach Mike McCarthy any thought. After winning 16 straight home games, the Cowboys, who are ranked second in the NFC, were expected to defeat the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. However, they were thoroughly outclassed as they suffered a 48-32 blowout loss to the team ranked seventh.

With only one postseason victory in his four years as manager, McCarthy’s contract has one more year left, and many have speculated that he may be leaving Dallas soon.

There are several well-known head coaches on the market right now, including Bill Belichick, who was fired by the New England Patriots on Thursday after 24 years of service, during which he won six Super Bowls.

Regarding McCarthy’s future, Jones told reporters, “I haven’t given it a second thought. “I am aware of the significance of our fans’ accomplishments.

Throughout the entire game, my main thought was, “Do we get to play here again next week?” rather than evaluating our play or strategy. And we are unable to.”

With this loss, Dallas’ Super Bowl drought now stands at 28 seasons. During that time, the team has never advanced past the Divisional Round of the playoffs.

“This seems like the most painful [playoff loss], because we all had such high hopes and expectations for this team,” Jones continued. “I’m in shock. I don’t understand this at all.”

Prescott: McCarthy is truly remarkable.

Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott came out in favour of his head coach. Prescott will have $59.4 million counted against the salary limit in the last year of his deal next season. “[McCarthy] has been incredible,” he remarked.

I understand the business, but I’m not sure how there can be [questions about his future]. “If that is the case, then, to be honest, there ought to be about me as well. “It’s thanks to him that I’ve had this season. It is mostly down to him that this team has had such success. “I know it’s all about winning the Super Bowl; that’s the league standard, and it’s definitely the goal here. I understand. But in that case, please include me on the list.”

McCarthy, a 2010 Super Bowl winner with the Packers, had a 6-10 season in his first season in Dallas. However, he has since guided the Cowboys to three consecutive 12-win seasons and NFC East titles in 2021 and 2023.

In the Cowboys’ most recent playoff defeat to the Packers, Prescott led the NFL with 36 touchdown passes in the regular season. However, he threw two costly interceptions in the first half of the game, the second of which was recovered for a touchdown by Darnell Savage Jr. Prescott remarked, “I sucked tonight,” following his first multi-interception game at home this year. “I started it a little later, but at that time, it made no difference.

“Well, it’s all about the victory. It all comes down to winning the postseason and making it to the final game, where victory is assured. It’s difficult.” After the loss, McCarthy would not discuss his future plans. “I’ve got a whole team in the locker room that’s hurting,” he stated. “I haven’t given this game’s outcome any thought… I doubt that anyone anticipated this.”
