SO SAD: Pittsburgh Steelers head coach explained why he will no longer continue with the team…

Pittsburgh The Pittsburgh Steelers are reportedly still in the running to complete their roster of offseason signings with a big deal. Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette stated that it’s not too soon to rule out making one last move as the NFL Draft draws near. Bleacher Report came to the same conclusion and chose to project the package that the team would forfeit in order to acquire a top wide receiver.

Bleacher Report reports that the Steelers would send Aiyuk and a fourth-round pick (132nd overall) to San Francisco in exchange for their first-round (choose 20) and third-round (pick 98). The issue of a lengthy extension would come up next.

Depending on who he signs with, Aiyuk’s estimated contract is somewhere around $30 million every season. The agreement would go into effect the next season, but it would increase Pittsburgh’s pay cap, leaving them with little cap space, and force them to make judgements about a number of players, including both of their quarterbacks.

“I’m attempting to obtain my just share. I felt that this football season, I came to terms with my identity as a person and player, with what I bring to the field, to a locker room, to an organisation, and simply with the value I hold when I walk into that building because people will follow me because I’ve done it the right way since I’ve been in that position.

There are many who think Aiyuk is still on the Steelers’ radar because they think they’re looking to make one more “big” move. It’s not impossible with this deal, and in all honesty, his contract would raise the major issue.
