Stefon Diggs is thrilled to join the Houston Texans as a mainstay in 2024, but he has to bid Buffalo farewell before he can start hauling in touchdowns from C.J. Stroud.
After serving as the Bills’ most valuable player for the past four seasons, Diggs wrote on Instagram to bid Western New York farewell and expressed gratitude for treating him as more than just a player.
“Words cannot express how much I love and respect Buffalo,” he wrote in the post, which included a picture of himself wearing a Bills uniform. I had four of the happiest years of my life in that city, which embraced me. I will always be appreciative to the [Buffalo Bills] organisation and all of you! Over the years, I have established something very unique with some very special men who will always hold a particular place in my heart.
Diggs gains a new beginning with a developing squad hoping to move from AFC division winners to genuine Super Bowl contenders after being traded for a 2025 second-round selection.
With him as the last piece in the offseason puzzle, consider the four-time Pro Bowl pass-catcher. Nick Caserio, general manager, welcomed Stroud’s meagre deal and constructed his team around the Offensive Rookie of the Year.
Tight end Dalton Schultz returned to Houston with a three-year, $36 million deal. In addition, they sent running back Joe Mixon to the Cincinnati Bengals in exchange for a seventh-round pick, and they signed him to a speedy three-year agreement worth up to $27 million.
