SO SAD: PHILADELPHIA HEAD COACH Nick Sirianni EXPLAINED WHY HE WILL NO LONGER CONTINUE WITH THE TEAM…

PHILADELPHIA: You could set your watch to the Philadelphia Eagles, even by NFL standards. Or, to put it another way, you may have previously set your watch to Jeffrey Lurie’s organisation.

There are at least those in the league who are beginning to wonder what precisely is happening on in Philadelphia following the catastrophic collapse that ended the 2023 season and some unusual decisions made this offseason.

Equipped with this knowledge, Eagles Today of SI.com reached out to an additional league executive to inquire about the current status of the Philadelphia team.

The executive responded, “I understand that sentiment,” after receiving the quote via text. “They’re bringing in [Saquon] Barkley and shipping out [Haason] Reddick?” No matter how you spin it, that’s not the Eagles’ normal operation.

“It looks impulsive.”

To the outside world, the Eagles appear somewhat disoriented for the first time in a long time.

It’s intriguing to try to balance Nick Siriannini and Kellen Moore while also indicating that you want to make things easier for the quarterback. The executive told Eagles Today, “I think they need to go back to basics and focus on the [offensive and defensive] lines.”

Former New Orleans Saints and Cleveland Browns scout Matt Manocherian says that if that’s the idea, this is an excellent year to implement it, at least offensively.
