JUST IN: former Alabama 4 star tackle signed by Nebraska….

Jalen Hale, a wide receiver for Alabama football, hurt his knee during practice on Thursday and won’t be able to participate for the rest of spring practice, according to new coach Kalen DeBoer. But it’s unclear if he might make a comeback at some time for the Crimson Tide in 2024.

Last season, Longview, Texas native Hale (6-1, 190 pounds) caught five catches for 148 yards and a touchdown. In the end, the Crimson Tide defeated Ole Miss 24-10 when he hauled in a 33-yard touchdown in the end zone while fending off challenged coverage. A relatively inexperienced group of receivers, including Kendrick Law, Kobe Prentice, and transfer Germie Bernard, had Hale fighting for playing time in DeBoer’s new offence.

Alabama held its first scrimmage of the spring on Thursday and will hold the annual A-Day game at Bryant-Denny Stadium on April 13.

Once the face of Alabama football, Nick Saban is now learning to adjust to normal life.

Saban officially retired on Jan. 10 after winning seven national championships, six of which came during his 17-year tenure with the Crimson Tide. But now the legendary head coach is learning how to send out emails, pick up his own prescriptions and even proper table etiquette.
