BREAKING NEWS: Lakers have Welcome’s New Player Today……

It’s beginning to look like the Lakers’ lone seasonlong achievement will be winning the In-Season Tournament.

Since defeating the Pacers in Las Vegas on December 9, Los Angeles has gone 3-9, and their 110-96 home loss to the Heat on Wednesday night may have been their lowest point.

According to coach Frank Vogel, Davis will get an MRI on Saturday. He played barely 20 minutes in the Timberwolves’ 110-92 loss, scoring just nine points and pulling down one rebound.

Even after hanging up his jersey over ten years ago, Paul Pierce still has the record for most victories (34, including playoffs) over LeBron James. James’ contemporary rivals, including Kevin Durant (17), Kawhi Leonard (19), and Stephen Curry (28), have not achieved as many victories as the legendary Celtic.

James’ Cavaliers were trounced in the early going by Pierce and his Celtics, but after joining up with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh in Miami, the latter team turned the tables. Including games from Pierce’s late-career stays with Brooklyn, Washington, and Los Angeles, James’ head-to-head record versus Pierce was 35-34 in the end.

Many Celtics supporters still remember Pierce making huge shots against teams led by James. Could anyone forget his fifty-piece in

The memories of Pierce making big shots against James’ teams are still fresh in the minds of many Celtics fans. Who could forget his 50-piece in a 2OT thriller against James’ Cavs in Feb. 2006? Or his heroic 41-point effort in Game 7 of the 2008 Eastern Conference Semifinals?

At the time, there was a narrative in the media that Pierce was a more clutch player than James, specifically due to his ability to make difficult shots in crunch time. James was still considered a suspect free-throw and perimeter shooter, and he had yet to build the resume of postseason success that he now has a decade later.

With that backdrop, Pierce was recently asked on “All Facts No Brakes” if he was more clutch than James during his prime. “The Truth” did not disappoint with his answer.

In fairness to James, he was a different player by the time he got to Miami and had fewer late-game collapses against Celtic teams. But it’s undeniable that Pierce got the better of James in the early going.
