FREAKING: NFL have officially offered $26.10millions for the contract extension of Jaire Alexander…

After an unexpected run to the NFL Playoffs divisional round, quarterback Jordan Love of the Green Bay Packers demonstrated remarkable development and promise throughout the 2023 season, inspiring many to think he is the quarterback of the future. Love, though, is in a unique contract situation because he will become a free agency following the 2024 season. Additionally, the Packers general manager, Brian Gutekunst, recently provided an update on contract extension negotiations, stating that it is unlikely that anything will be resolved anytime soon.

We want to do things the proper way, but there have been some clearly preliminary discussions, according to Brian Gutekunst, as quoted by Matt Schneidman of The Athletic. The sooner the better, without a doubt, but we also want to make sure we do it well, in my opinion. We’ve started, but I don’t think it will move along very rapidly.

Given how well Love performed in 2023, the Packers have good reason to have faith in him. Pro Football Focus reports that Love ran for 247 yards and four touchdowns in addition to throwing for 4,159 yards, 32 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions.

If Love’s contract can be agreed upon before the 2024 season begins, it will be intriguing to watch what kind of deal he receives.

While Love put up a very good season, and produced very well in the Packers’ playoff win on the road over the Dallas Cowboys, it is going to be an interesting negotiation. At the start of the season, Love’s performance had many believing that he might not be a franchise quarterback, but he turned heads as the season went on, with many strong performances in big games.
