DEAL: the Georgia bulldogs have just signed a huge contract with……

The anticipated starting running back for the Bulldogs, Etienne, was checked into the Athens-Clark County Jail at 4:35 a.m. and released a little over an hour later on a bond of roughly $1,800. According to the documents, there are further charges for failing to keep in one’s lane, driving improperly, and using things that obscure the windscreen or windows.

Whether Etienne had retained legal counsel was not immediately apparent.

In a statement, the university stated that while it was aware of the arrest, it would not be providing any more details.

With the Los Angeles Rams’ guidance, quarterback Stetson Bennett resolved personal matters during his rookie season away from the NFL. Bennett seems to be trying to make a comeback a year later, but it looks like he might choose to take advantage of another opportunity.

Prior to the 2023 NFL Draft, Los Angeles was ranked among the top teams interested in Bennett. The two-time national champion was seen as a late-round pick by some, but general manager Les Snead and head coach Sean McVay saw more in him. The Rams selected him with the 128th overall pick as a consequence.

Under head coach Kirby Smart, the Georgia Bulldogs are still doing well in the recruiting process.

Even in this new era of college football, Smart has been able to regularly recruit and frequently retain some of the best players in the country.

The Georgia Bulldogs passed their first NIT test but saw the degree of difficulty kick up a notch on Sunday at Wake Forest. While the Bulldogs had to battle for 40 minutes, they found a way to beat the Demon Deacons and keep their season alive.

Georgia built a big first-half lead and held on in the final minutes for a 72-66 victory over Wake Forest. The win moves the Bulldogs on to the NIT quarterfinals, where they’ll play at Ohio State on Tuesday. This will be the Bulldogs’ first trip to the quarterfinals since 1998.
