BREAKING:With Deshaun Watson in the team I believe he is going to silence all the haters this year. This is my QB1….

Even if the Browns signed Devin Bush and Jordan Hicks to free agents, they could still try to choose a linebacker in the draft.

Jeremiah Trotter Jr. of Clemson is a product of one of the best college football programmes in the nation and has experience in the NFL.

A projected second-round selection is Trotter. In their most recent projection, B/R’s NFL scouting staff insulted him by ranking him at No. 51.

Trotter, a second-round selection himself, might be available for the Browns at No. 55 and might have a similar effect in the middle of the Browns defence as Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah.

Payton Wilson of NC State and Edgerrin Cooper of Texas A&M are two more guys to take into consideration in that draft

bracket.

The Cleveland Browns enter NFL draft season in better shape with their 2024 roster construction than at the start of offseason.

The Browns got deeper at wide receiver with the Jerry Jeudy trade, so that need should a take a back seat in draft preparations.

Cleveland still has a handful of other needs it has to address, but it needs to be smart in the draft process since it only has five draft selections.

Injuries have taken their toll on Cleveland’s top starting offensive tackles.

Jack Conklin missed more games than he played in two of the last three seasons and Jedrick Wills only made eight starts in 2023.

Cleveland should target an offensive lineman in either the second or third round to have some more insurance for their pair of starters at offensive tackle.

The problem with that is the best offensive tackles in the draft class will be long gone by the time the Browns select at No. 54.

Bleacher Report’s NFL scouting department predicted seven offensive linemen would be chosen in the second round in their latest projection. Five of them were chosen before the Browns pick.

A trade up just a few spots in the second round may be beneficial if the Browns see offensive line depth as their primary need to fill in the draft.

The Browns will not appear on the clock until the No. 54 overall pick, and at that point, they need to get the pick right to address at least one of their remaining primary needs.
