DEAL DONE: the Dallas cowboys have fully offered the range of $26.10 millions for Bob lilly contract extension…

According to Forbes, with a valuation of $8 billion, the Dallas Cowboys are the most valuable sports franchise globally. They have five Super Bowl victories. The only teams with more rings are the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New England Patriots. We’ll examine the all-time great Cowboys in this list.

Pro Football Reference uses an Approximate Value statistic to “put a single number on the seasonal value of a player at any position from any year,” and this list was generated by assessing each player’s Approximate Value. Now let’s get going!

Smith is the all-time top rusher in the NFL. He was running behind The Great Wall of Dallas, one of the best offensive lines in history, if not the best. He was the star back for the three-time Super Bowl-winning Cowboys team in four years. The Patriots led by Tom Brady and Bill Belichick are the only other club to have achieved this accomplishment. He was fiercely competitive with another great, Barry Sanders, to be the league’s top running back. Smith left the Cowboys after a run with the Arizona Cardinals.

Lilly was born and raised in Texas. He played college football at Texas Christian University (TCU). The Hall of Fame defensive tackle shut down the other team’s plays in the backfield on a regular basis. The 11-time Pro Bowler helped Dallas win its first Super Bowl in 1971.

White took over at defensive tackle when Bob Lily retired. When the Cowboys won their second Super Bowl in 1977, both White and defensive end Harvey Martin were named Super Bowl MVP. It’s the only time that two players have won Super MVP. Neck and shoulder injuries hindered his ability to play the game at the level he wanted to, and he retired in 1988.

Renfro played free safety for the Cowboys. He was part of the Cowboys’ defense that won two Super Bowls in the 1970s. The 10-time Pro Bowler intercepted 52 passes in his career. He was also a lethal return man. In 1996, Renfro was inducted into the Hall of Fame.
