Georgia bulldogs player arrested field $280000 given four match bans for…

Promising defensive lineman Stephon Shivers of Humboldt (Tenn.) High made his Georgia pledge public on Friday afternoon, selecting the Bulldogs over a number of schools, including Auburn, Ole Miss, Oregon, and Tennessee.

In the 2025 recruiting cycle, Shivers, who stands six feet five inches and weighs 320 pounds, commits to the Bulldogs as the sixth player in a class that also features five-star defensive lineman Justus Terry.

Shivers described the defensive programme as “just great.” “That is the best there is to be.”

Shivers has made two previous trips to Ath

ens.

They treat me like family and extend a warm welcome,” Shivers remarked.

With Kirby Smart, the head coach, defensive coordinator Glenn Schumann, defensive line coach Tray Scott, and director of recruiting relations David Cooper, Shivers thought he clicked.

Shivers praised each of them as excellent coaches. They will teach you the proper method and support your growth as a man, a person, and a football player. Overall, Coop is a really nice man. We chat every other day orso.

Shivers shines on the gridiron and hardwood at Humboldt, a nimble-footed, powerful, big-bodied, point of attack player. Shivers meets the standard of what Georgia has been recruiting at the line of scrimmage.

“Stephon he’s a great kid,” Humboldt head coach Hayden Williams said. “High work ethic, always in the gym working out. He’s a multi-sport athlete, plays basketball, 1,000 point club for basketball, heck of a football player, one of the best to be around.

“A high-motor, he’s just out there making plays. He’s a big run stopper. He has a quick first step. He’s good at pass rush as well. He’s a high-motor player.

Just the history of Georgia,” Williams said. “Obviously over the past few years Georgia ticked it up and won a couple National Championships. That’s good for recruiting. It’s good to get guys in the door. They want to play for a winner. Still closer to home than some of the other schools. His family can come out to games more, more availability to games, they don’t have to hop a plane, they can make a trip and get down there.
