The Baltimore Ravens had one of the strongest pass defences in the league in 2023, finishing third in touchdowns, fourth in interceptions, sixth in yards, and seventh in passing first downs.

As an undrafted linebacker who reached the 53-man roster in 2018, Board had his first experience with the Ravens.
During his first four years in Baltimore, he participated in all but two games and rapidly rose to prominence as a special teams player. This reputation has followed him for his six NFL seasons.
Board participated in 25% and 30% of the defensive snaps in the 2020 and 2021 seasons, respectively. In 2020, he recorded 2.5 sacks and 31 tackles; the next year, he recorded a career-high 41 tackles.
Board spent the previous season at New England before departing in free agency in 2022 to join Detroit. Following the free-agent loss of another great special teams player, Del’Shawn Phillips, to Houston, the Ravens searched for a new linebacker.
