Kenny Pickett is leaving the Pittsburgh Steelers after just two seasons to sign with the Philadelphia Eagles. After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh, Pickett played for the Panthers for five fantastic seasons, becoming a beloved player in the area. Many believed that his stellar collegiate performance would help the Steelers win in the NFL.
The Steelers traded Pickett last week, not long after acquiring nine-time Pro Bowler Russell Wilson. The 25-year-old quarterback requested a trade because he believed that the acquisition of a seasoned quarterback would restrict his playing time.
After a turbulent week in Pittsburgh, Pickett talked candidly about his conversations with the organisation in a recent article for NFL.com.

Shortly after those discussions, the Steelers promptly traded Pickett to the Eagles along with a fourth-round pick for a third-round pick and two sixth-round picks in 2025.
Pickett went on to say that he was excited about the new opportunity to play with the Eagles.
“Just think this is a good reset,” said Pickett. It worked out so well that Philly was the place I ended up landing in.”
Over two season with the Steeler, Pickett finished with 14-10 record over 24 starts. Over 25 total games, he racked up 4474 passing yards and 13 touchdowns.
With two-time Pro Bowler Jalen Hurts firmly established as the starter in Philadelphia, Pickett may have to be patient for another opportunity to start.
