Darnell Savage, a safety with the Jacksonville Jaguars, was beaming as he made his way to the platform at Miller Electric Centre this week, just like his fellow free agents. He had plenty to be grateful for, after all. Savage signed a three-year contract early in free agency with the Jaguars after spending five seasons with the Green Bay Packers. Savage was the Jaguars’ top priority, and rightfully so. “I am quite happy. To eventually figure out where you’re heading and arrive here with all the same feelings that you had when you made your decision is fantastic, in my opinion, because the process seems to drag on forever. “I’m glad to be here,” Savage told the regional press.
