SIGNING NEWS:Browns sign TE Giovanni Ricci 4 years contract that worth $4.100millions to trade with dalla…

The Browns inked LB Devin Bush to a contract as they seek to restructure their linebacker group.

The Steelers selected Bush with the 10th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, and he played his first four seasons in Pittsburgh. In his debut year, Bush produced 109 tackles, nine tackles for loss, four passes defensed, and two interceptions—it was his greatest season ever. In the voting for NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year, he came in third.

Bush’s second season ended after just five games due to a torn ACL. But he came back for the 2021 campaign, and in his four seasons in Pittsburgh, he recorded 268 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, 10 quarterback hits, four sacks, two interceptions, two forced fumbles, and five touchdowns.

For the 2023 season, he later joined with the Seahawks, where he saw action in 13 games and tallied 37 tackles, including five for loss.

Bush will add a fresh look to the linebacker group this season along with Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah and the recently signed Jordan Hicks. With 13 of his 16 games played starting, Owusu-Koramoah had a career season in 2023, totaling 101 tackles, 20 tackles for loss, five quarterback hits, two interceptions, six passes defensed, one forced fumble, and 3.5 sacks.

Born and raised in Loveland, Ohio, Ricci joined the Panthers in 2021 as an undrafted free agent. He played in 36 games throughout his three seasons with the Panthers. He has nine receptions for 102 yards during that period, along with eighteen special teams tackles. In 2022, when he started three of his fifteen games and hauled in eight receptions for one hundred yards, he had his greatest season in Carolina.

During the 2023 season, Ricci dealt with a shoulder issue; on October 24, he was placed on injured reserve. Last season, he appeared in just five games.

He now joins Jordan Akins and David Njoku’s tight end group in Cleveland. Njoku concluded the season with career highs in total receiving yards (882), catches (81), and Pro Bowl selection (his first). Njoku was the Browns’ top receiver overall, with the fifth-most receptions of any tight end throughout the season. In addition, he set a career high with six receiving touchdowns to lead the Browns.
