BREAKING NEWS:Deshaun Watson of the Browns might need to retest in this notable case of sexual misconduct…

Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson may receive additional discipline from the NFL after having served an 11-game suspension for off-field misconduct. This is contingent upon the resolution of two other cases.

Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson may face more punishment pending the resolution of an ongoing case against him, despite having already served an 11-game ban in 2022 due to accusations of sexual misconduct from more than two dozen women.

Before August 1, Watson is have to take part in another in-person deposition, according to USA Today’s Brent Schrotenboer. According to the report, this case is from the final woman out of the 26 who accused him of having sex with them while they were getting massages.

Although Watson had already given a deposition in this case in Houston the previous summer, according to Schrotenboer, “the woman’s attorney ended it after two hours and fourteen minutes because Watson’s attorney, Rusty Hardin, improperly instructed Watson not to answer certain questions about other cases.”

It is not unusual for solicitors to advise their clients not to answer certain questions in sworn depositions; nevertheless, doing so may put Watson in a position where he has to testify again.

Watson closed 23 of the 26 allegations made against him with secret agreements. The plaintiff withdrew one of the three remaining cases in 2021, and the other case that remains is still awaiting a trial date much as the previously mentioned case. After Watson settled the initial 23 lawsuits, just this particular one was filed against him.

As Pro Football Talk has consistently stated, should more evidence surface incriminating Cleveland’s signal caller in the remaining cases – or should either result in a guilty verdict against Watson – the NFL has not ruled out punishing Watson beyond the 11-game suspension he received prior to the 2022 campaign.
