SO SAD: The head coach of the Cleveland Browns has decided to change…

The Cleveland Browns have given former Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel a new position in the NFL.

The Titans fired Vrabel, the 2021 NFL Coach of the Year, following a poor campaign in which they missed the playoffs. Even after being associated with the New England Patriots, he was unclaimed.

Rather of going back to his native state, he has now joined the Browns as a coaching and personnel consultant. He officially joined the Browns today after spending time with the personnel during the NFL Combine in Indianapolis.

Vrabel, an Ohio native born in Akron, excelled as a linebacker for Ohio State during his collegiate career before the Pittsburgh Steelers selected him in the 1997 NFL Draft. In 2011, he started working as a coach at his alma university, having retired from the NFL in 2010.

He had a mixed record as the Titans’ head coach, with 54 wins, 45 losses, and just two postseason triumphs in six seasons. After losing to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game in 2019, the team was unable to win a postseason game for the next four seasons.

The Tennessee Titans lost confidence in head coach Mike Vrabel even though the team finished 11-5 and 12-5 in 2020 and 2021, respectively.

Titans owner Amy Adams Strunk stated in January, “Earlier today, I spoke with Mike Vrabel and told him about my decision to make a change at head coach.”
