DONE DEAL: after a long awaited time he is now finally signed to play……

The Baltimore Ravens might be open to bringing in a legitimate No. 2 to line up opposite Zay Flowers or even more depth at wideout. In an effort to save contract space, the Dallas Cowboys released six-year veteran Michael Gallup on Friday. Dallas had allowed Gallup’s agent to pursue a trade prior to his release, but no team was willing to take on his existing $13 million APY contract.

The 28-year-old will be considered a post-cut on June 1.

With 66 receptions for 1,107 yards in his second season of 2019, Gallup had a breakthrough year. However, in 2021, the Colorado State product tore his ACL. Dallas offered him a five-year, $57.5 million contract after the injury, but this decision did not turn out as planned.

Last season, Gallup saw career lows of just 418 yards and two touchdowns, while also recording the second-fewest receptions (34). Gallup, however, bounced back in Dallas’ lone postseason game the previous year, hauling in six passes on six targets for 103 yards. That might be sufficient for the Ravens (or any other team) to attribute his downturn on the Cowboys’ offense’s underutilization of him.

No longer with the Ravens, Odell Beckham

In 2024, Rashod Bateman is anticipated to play a bigger part, and Lamar Jackson, the quarterback, may employ every tool the Ravens have at his disposal in the passing game. In offensive coordinator Todd Monken’s second-year offence, the addition of free agency running back Derrick Henry this week could enhance Baltimore’s running game and create possibilities for Jackson’s passing game.
