WORLD BREAKING RECODE: the texas raiders have done the unexpected again by breaking the first…….. recode of…..

But in his most recent bowl forecasts, CBS Sports’ Jerry Palm has them on the outside looking in, even though he had them picked to make the College Football Playoff a week ago. According to his projections, Texas will take on Tulane in the Fiesta Bowl. Palm pointed out that Oregon would undoubtedly defeat the Longhorns if they prevailed.

The Texas Longhorns are among the eight teams that are vying for a spot in the College Football Playof

One of those teams, and for the first time in a hot minute, is the No. 7 Texas Longhorns. Texas is currently sitting at 10-1 on the year with their lone loss coming at the hands of Oklahoma, but they have established themselves as one of the top one-loss teams and are often viewed as a team that will be one of the final four standing.

The perfect scenario for Texas to get into the College Football Playoff is for Oregon to drop another game, Florida State to lose, Georgia to lose, and Michigan to lose to Ohio State. While this doesn’t guarantee a spot in the top four, it would really make the committee evaluate resumes and head-to-head matchups, which should work in their favor in terms of Alabama.

All Texas can do at this moment is ensure that they hold up their end of the bargain, which means that they have to handle business on Friday against Texas Tech. A team that has beaten them three times since 2015, all of which have been in Austin.

If Florida State, Georgia, Oregon, and Michigan lose against Ohio State, Florida State would lose, which would put Texas in the College Football Playoffs. Alabama would benefit from this since it would force the committee to consider resumes and head-to-head matches, even though it doesn’t guarantee a spot in the top four.
