While exploring ways to have fun during spring break, the Texas Longhorns are thinking ahead to 2023, their big year. In their last season in the conference, they not only qualified for the College Football Playoffs but also won the Big 12. Texas, however, cannot be pleased, even though those two accomplishments are fantastic and demonstrate that the programme is moving in the right path. The postseason demonstrated both their defensive shortcomings and the fact that, although strong, their offence lacked polish. The club is undoubtedly clinging to the notion that they were close but fell short, and new players like running back Jerrick Gibson want to be the reason they succeed.

A Texas legend, Bijan Robinson, who was selected with the eighth overall pick in 2023 and is currently preparing for his second NFL season with the Atlanta Falcons in 2024, is shown working on Gibson’s game in a recent YouTube video posted by trainer Tim Riley, the Director of Sports Performance at the Kollective in Austin.
Robinson is not only familiar with the experience of being a highly-regarded running back, but he also has firsthand knowledge of what it’s like to be a highly-regarded back at Texas. Whether he wants to acknowledge it or not, he also set the bar for greatness when he was a Longhorn.
As for Gibson, he is one of the early enrollees for Texas this spring as he looks to carve out a role in the loaded backfield. The four-star recruit out of IMG Academy will look to take some carries away from CJ Baxter, Jaydon Blue, and Tre Wisner.
