SIGNING:Derrick Henry have sign a two-year deal with the Baltimore Ravens worth up to $20m – including $9m guaranteed in

Following the team’s decision on Monday to sign former Cowboys running back Tony Pollard to a three-year, $24 million contract, Henry’s exit from Tennessee was inevitable.

On the first day of the NFL’s legal tampering period, there was also a lot of activity among running backs. Josh Jacobs agreed to go to the Packers for four years and $48 million, while Saquon Barkley agreed to sign a three-year, 37.75 million contract with the Eagles.

In addition, D’Andre Swift has agreed to sign a reported $24 million, three-year contract with the Bears, while Austin Ekeler will sign a $8.34 million, two-year contract with the Commanders.

Henry, 30, was a four-time Pro Bowler in Tennessee and is second in franchise history with 9,502 rushing yards.

He acknowledged the move on his X account on Tuesday, writing, ‘Flock Nation I swea it’s up.’

His 4.2 yards per carry in 2023 was his lowest mark since his sophomore season, while he also played just 53 percent of snaps and ceded playing time to backup Tyjae Spears.

Nonetheless, Henry still finished the season with 1,167 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns, and will now look to bring more firepower to a Ravens offense led by Lamar Jackson.

Henry’s departure from Tennessee seemed imminent after the team agreed to sign former Cowboys running back Tony Pollard to a three-year, $24million deal on Monday.

And there was plenty of other running back movement on the first day of the NFL’s legal tampering period, with Saquon Barkley agreeing to join the Eagles on a three-year, 37.75million pact and Josh Jacobs heading to the Packers for four years and $48million.

D’Andre Swift also agreed to join the Bears for a reported three-year, $24million contract while Austin Ekeler is set to join the Commanders for $8.34million over two years.
