DONE DEAL:tony pollard have just signed in agreement of two years contract that worth $8. 10milli….

The Dallas Cowboys have let their top running back to leave the team and enter free agency for the second time in two offseasons.

It was Ezekiel Elliott the previous year. Tony Pollard is likely to sign a three-year, $24 million free-agent contract with the Tennessee Titans on Monday, per numerous reports.

With Pollard gone, the only players remaining on the depth chart for running backs are Rico Dowdle, Malik Davis, Deuce Vaughn, Hunter Luepke, and Snoop Conner. Put another way, the Cowboys are formally looking for a feature back in 2024 and will probably prioritise selecting a player in the NFL Draft the following month. They might also try to sign a free agent who is similar to Saquon Barkley, Aaron Jones, Derrick Henry, or possibly Elliott?

The Cowboys determined that Ezekiel Elliott was finished due of financial concerns. They were mistaken, as the 28-year-old had a respectable season with the New England Patriots despite a terrible offensive line and a poor offence. Next week he becomes a free agent; perhaps he comes back?

Expected to be a younger, less expensive version of Zeke, Pollard underwhelmed on his solo debut in 2023. The Cowboys ran for nearly 20 less yards per game in 2023 with him than in 2022 with Elliott, and he only had one game of 100 yards or more.
