SO SAD: Alex Van Pelt have just been confirmed fired and benched for failing his duties to the browns….

After missing the playoffs in back-to-back seasons, the Cleveland Browns returned to the postseason last season. This normally translates into higher ticket costs the following year, which will affect all Cleveland Browns season ticket holders in 2024.

After losing linebacker Anhtnoy Walker Jr. to the Miami Dolphins earlier in the day, the Browns had a gap in their lineup. On Monday night, they filled it with linebacker Jordan Hicks of the Minnesota Vikings.

Hicks reportedly agreed to a two-year eight-million-dollar deal. Hicks started his career by spending the first four seasons in Philadelphia and then headed to Arizona for three and was up north in Minnesota for the last two.

The nine-year veteran has had over five straight seasons of 100 tackles and should fit nicely with the Browns Hicks played under current Brown’s defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz while he was the defensive coordinator for the Eagles, and both played a significant role in winning Super Bowl LII. Hicks will bring his veteran presence to a linebacker room that is going to lose a lot at the moment. Anthony Walker is gone, Sione Takitaki is set to join the New England Patriots, Jacob Phillip is a free agent and probably won’t return, and the only two linebackers who have had a good amount of playing time left are Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah who is a stud and Tony Fields who is a backup at best.

Hicks does get to come in and play with one of the best defensive players in the game in defensive end Myles Garrett and cornerback Denzel Ward.

The Cleveland Browns are expected to be one of the best teams in the AFC again, and Hicks is going to have to contribute for the team to want to go places they have never been before.
