SO BAD : Harry Carson have just been confirmed to be Dead this morning due to……

As he searches for his next NFL team as a free agent, quarterback Russell Wilson met with the New York Giants on Thursday and will visit the Pittsburgh Steelers on Friday, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

As free agency approaches, the New York Giants are expected to pursue an edge rusher, though they are hesitant to spend on a top candidate on the market, per ESPN’s Jordan Raanan.

“The Giants desperately want to add at edge rusher,” Raanan wrote. “They’re going to monitor the top of the market (i.e., Danielle Hunter) but aren’t really looking to spend in that range, one source told ESPN at the combine.”

Heading into next week’s free agency, the Giants have $41 million in cap space per Spotrac, though Raanan noted they could free up more space if they restructure defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence’s and offensive tackle Andrew Thomas’ 2024 base salaries to be roster bonuses.

While New York likely couldn’t land top edge rushers like Hunter or Chase Young with what it’s willing to spend, the Giants could target quality starters like A.J. Epenesa, Bryce Huff, Andrew Van Ginkel, Josh Uche or Leonard Floyd.

Last season, New York’s top edge rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux had 50 tackles and 11.5 sacks. Thibodeaux will be entering the third year of a four-year, $31.3 million contract in 2024. Playing opposite him last season was Azeez Ojulari, who had a town year with 16 tackles and 2.5 sacks in 11 games. Ojulari will be entering the final year of his contract in 2024, so adding some depth to the position will be a priority for New York this offseason.
