Joe flacco is suspended and fired out of the team today due to…

The unlikely NFL comeback of Joe Flacco might be about to take an intriguing turn.

Longtime Browns reporter Mary Kay Cabot reported on Thursday that the Patriots are “interested in possibly signing Flacco as a bridge starter to help mentor a rookie quarterback if they select one at No. 3 overall.” This suggests that the team may be interested in signing the veteran quarterback.

After starter Deshaun Watson underwent season-ending surgery, the 39-year-old Flacco joined the Browns in November and helped guide the team to a 4-1 record in five regular-season starts. Flacco was named the NFL’s Comeback Player of the Year the previous season.

In those games, he completed 1,616 passing yards in total.

Before Flacco’s career turnaround in Cleveland, it seemed improbable that he could return to the NFL and take the world by storm.

In games that Flacco started between 2019 and 22, the Broncos and Jets had a combined record of 3-14.

In the article released on Thursday, Cabot also mentioned that Alex Van Pelt, who worked closely with Flacco as the Browns’ offensive coordinator and quarterback coach the previous season, is currently the coordinator on Jerod Mayo’s staff in New England.

Watson is expected to start for the Browns in 2019 after recovering from an injury. He is in the third year of a fully guaranteed five-year contract for $230 million.

Flacc, Cabot writes, “has his sights set on a starting role and has no desire to be a backup next season with his starting window narrowing.

People refer to him as “old,” but I’ll tell you that, whether he’s 100 years old or not, he moves better, is bigger, and stronger than most guys that play that position.

Even so, the Jets stated they did not feel bad about not calling Flacco when Aaron Rodgers suffered a season-ending Achilles injury four plays into the season’s first game in September.

In December, head coach Robert Saleh stressed, “Never regret.” “You constantly approach situations hoping to make the right choice. Every choice we make is well-considered and logical. However, remorse does not exist.
