Over the course of his almost three-decade tenure, Bill Hillgrove has made numerous memorable games and the Steelers Radio Network his home. He has also served as our play-by-play announcer for four Super Bowl appearances. Since he started sharing the airwaves with the legendary Myron Cope in 1994, he has been an integral part of our radio network’s transmission to our incredible listeners, but he has also made time to participate in a vast number of special events. Steelers Nation will sincerely miss Bill, but we are looking forward to him and his family enjoying his retirement.
On Friday, the Pittsburgh Steelers announced the appointment of Tom Arth as quarterbacks coach, Zach Azzanni as wide receivers coach, and Mateo Kambui as offensive assistant.
The last two seasons, Arth was a specialist in the passing game for the Los Angeles Chargers. He was a member of a staff that helped the Chargers’ offence finish fifth in passing offence and twelfth in total offence during his time there. Additionally, he assisted quarterback Justin Herbert in keeping NFL records.
He coached in college for nine seasons before coming to the Chargers, three of which he spent as the head coach of the University of Akron (2019–21). He was the head coach of the team at the
