Red Bull has “never been stronger,” according to Christian Horner, who was granted permission to continue as team principal.
Thursday morning, Horner was in the Bahrain paddock following his exoneration for engaging in “inappropriate behavior” with a female coworker.
According to reports, Christian Horner told the principals of other Formula One teams that he was innocent of the allegations that Red Bull was looking into.
The complaint against Horner was “dismissed” in advance of this weekend’s F1 Bahrain Grand Prix, meaning he is now free of any wrongdoing.
The saga has actually lasted eight weeks, since the start of January, rather than the three weeks that it has been in the public eye, The Telegraph report.
Horner “interrupted” an F1 Commission meeting in London on Monday February 5 to tell his rival team bosses that he was innocent of the allegations made against him.
Days later, he was grilled for hours by an independent lawyer.
Horner took a private plane this week to leave the UK for Bahrain, not knowing for sure how the probe would turn out.
It was possible he might have to return home right away.
Horner was “eager to put on a united front,” according to the story, so his plane made a stop in Austria to pick up Helmut Marko.
At the Milton Keynes headquarters of the Red Bull F1 team, Horner enjoyed “widespread support.”
According to the publication, some workers may have even resigned in support of Horner.
Following his arrival in Bahrain on Wednesday, Horner was found not guilty of any crimes.
Since then, Horner has commented on Red Bull’s unity to Sky Sports, saying, “Within the team, it has never been stronger.”
The independent investigation into the allegations made against Mr. Horner is complete, and Red Bull can confirm that the grievance has been dismissed,” a Red Bull spokeswoman said in a statement on Wednesday.
