VERY SAD: joe flacco was just announced suspeded and fired to live the team immediately…….

Grant joined the Browns in the offseason of 2022. With the Miami Dolphins and Chicago Bears, he was voted a second-team All-Pro in 2020 and 2021, solidifying his status as one of the NFL’s top special teams returners.

Goodwin signed a one-year contract with the Browns last year, marking his return to the AFC after ten years in the NFL with the Bills, 49ers, Eagles, Bears, and Seahawks.

Proche played for the Ravens for his first three years of his career before leaving for the preseason in 2023. He ultimately signed with the Browns on October 31 to join the practice squad, but he did not make their final roster. On November 7, he became a member of the active roster as the new return.

Unfortunately, injuries have made Grant’s time in Cleveland an absolute nightmare. He had an Achilles tendon injury in practice during training camp in 2022, which caused his season to stop. Subsequently, during the final 2023 preseason game, Grant sustained a knee injury that subsequently proved to be a ruptured patellar tendon, so ending his season once more.

As the new deep threat receiver for the team, Goodwin defeated Anthony Schwartz. Goodwin’s July placement on the active/non-football injury list because of blood clots in his lungs and legs, however, took an unexpected turn for his offseason. It was unclear when he would be ready to make a comeback, but by the conclusion of the preseason, it was evident he was healthy.

Even though he participated in 12 games, Goodwin ended the season with 4 catches for 67 yards and one deep completion (a 57-yard pass from Joe Flacco). There were a couple more close calls, but Goodwin was unable to hold on or the quarterback missed. Goodwin also gained 33 yards on 4 rushes.

Proche only had one kick return for 19 yards during his time as the Browns’ kick returner, which was in the last week of the season. Throughout his ten games, he mostly had an impact as a punt returner, recording 22 returns for 197 yards (9.0 YPR). He made a few dubious fielding calls in the final moments, but other than that, he was a respectable punt returner for the Browns. Cleveland survived his costly fumble against the Ravens.
