LeBron James was one of Johnny Manziel’s greatest inspirations, despite the negative influences in his life. Manziel intended to accomplish the same in the NFL rather than the NBA. The Akron, Ohio native was a lifesaver for Cleveland.
Though things didn’t quite work out that way, Manziel seems grateful for James’ efforts to cheer up the quarterback during difficult times.
Even though Manziel only appeared in 14 NFL games during his career, that is still more than most sports fans, pundits, and aspiring athletes. Now that he’s talking about some of the wild encounters he had, though, it’s difficult to ignore the thought of how Johnny Football’s life may have turned out.
LeBron James cares for his people, whether you love him or loathe him. Former Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel is even a part of that clique.
Manziel and James first met in 2014–15, the only two seasons “Johnny Football” played in the NFL, when James was still with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Even though Manziel’s pro football career didn’t go as planned following his extraordinarily successful time at Texas A&M in college, he still remembers how James supported him during his worst moments.
The Cleveland Browns have just made two postseason appearances since 2003, but they have also had an incredibly gratifying and difficult season. Several of their top players, including Nick Chubb and Deshaun Watson, suffered season-ending injuries as part of those struggles.
The NFL revealed a new pay can Friday that is slightly over $255 million, setting a new record. The Cleveland Browns, who must pay ap o $63.9 million salary cap charge just for Deshaun Watson, will undoubtedly benefit from these updated figures.
But, the Browns will really be entering the offseason after surpassing the 2024 salary cap, which means they will have to make some difficult choices. This suggests that the Browns will probably want to limit the contracts of some of its highest-paid players. However, there can also be some unexpected cap casualties.
