Cole won the 2022 “The Chief” Award, which honours Steelers founder Art Rooney Sr. and goes to the team member who best demonstrates media collaboration.

Cam Heyward, a defensive lineman for theteel Pittsburgh Sers, played on one leg and had a challenging season in 2023 as a result of injuries.

He did, however, have a successful offseason procedure, and he anticipates playing on two legs in 2024.

Because of his injuries and the significant $22 million cap charge in his contract’s last year, Heyward’s detractors are urging him to retire.

Heyward recently expressed his annoyance on Twitter on the desire of the media and fans to forget about his time with the Steelers.

Heyward performs at a high level and doesn’t appear to be leaving the team anytime soon, despite recent physical setbacks.

Heyward made his first start in 2013 and went on to have a breakout year.

With five sacks, 59 tackles, seven pass deflections, and a fumble recovery, he made an impression. Among all eligible defensive ends that year, his performance placed him 19th.

After realising Heyward’s potential, the Steelers exercised his fifth-year option in 2015, giving him $6.96 million.

His career-high 7.5 sacks at the end of the season and sixth-best overall grade among defensive ends were his rewards for their faith.

Heyward had his best season to date in 2017, recording 12 sacks and was named to the First Team All-Pro.
