SO SAD : the Boston Celtics team are in very serious tears today due to…..

Jayson Tatum is running for the NBA MVP title with the Boston Celtics leading the league. Following the Celtics’ victory over the Chicago Bulls, Tatum gave reporters an explanation of why MVP talks don’t always align.

“I didn’t say I had to be the first one. I was just offended by some folks on TV who claimed that something that happened two years ago was the reason I wouldn’t win this year. Tatum stated, “That was my only disconnect,” according to the Celtics on CLNS’ X account.

This is a reaction to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst, who used Tatum’s 2022 NBA Finals matchup against the Golden State Warriors as evidence that he shouldn’t be the winner.

Since it’s just intended to be on this year, it’s unfair. Jayson Tatum didn’t play his best during the playoffs, especially in the Finals. And the bar is now higher, fair or not’, Windhorst stated in an NBA Today edition airing on February 15. Marc D’Amico of Celtics.com compiled Windhorst’s remarks.

The current MVP of the league, Joel Embiid, has never advanced past the Eastern Conference Semifinals. However, it appears that this had no bearing on his 2023 MVP campaign.

Jayson Tatum declared he was the best player in the NBA to ESPN’s Malika Andrews prior to the start of the new season.

According to Andrews’ YouTube channel, Tatum told her on February 20 that he had a lot of respect for many of the guys in the league. “[Nikola] Jokic, who recently won the title, [Joel] Embiid, players who have won MVP awards, and the list goes on, Giannis for sure. The league is doing fantastically. I reflect on the experiences I’ve had, the accomplishments I’ve made throughout my career, and the fact that I haven’t won the ultimate championship. I genuinely think I’m the best player on the court every time I take the court.
