SAD NEWS: the coach had made a 3 weeks suspensions today……

Including five of the top 128 picks in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Houston Texans will hold eight selections. Given the team’s current needs, there is still a lot to learn, even though we are aware that Nick Caserio’s selection approach requires scheming throughout the draft weekend. As free agency develops over the following few weeks, this will also alter.

Many of these requirements are stand-ins for potential free agents Houston might lose. Houston needs to replace 30 players in all across the team’s positional spectrum. Based on their value, presumed availability at this stage of the draft, and likelihood of starting or developing in Houston, the players listed below were selected.

Analysis: McKinstry can start right away at cornerback and is a dependable option. Several times early in the season, Texas’ Adonai Mitchell outran him, demonstrating his lack of linear speed as a cornerback. Teams, to be honest, didn’t pursue this zone-first cover cornerback by the time he reached his senior year. McKinstry does a good job of blocking passes and receiver routes with his hands. Derek Stingley Jr. and McKinstry will form an excellent defensive tandem on the other side.

Legette, who made a huge impression this past season with an amazing catch radius and breakaway speed, was Spencer Rattler’s favourite target. Legette’s frame makes him an excellent high point ball player, ranking among the best in the class. Legette’s statistics against stronger competition were noticeably lower, which is his major cause for concern. Legette will be able to dominate against teams that have their second or third best cover corner thanks to Houston’s present pass-catching arsenal.

Analysis: Fiske was the defensive end Jared Verse’s running buddy at FSU and a projected first-round pick. Fiske’s fast footwork and lightning hand movement belie his stocky body. In the ACC Championship game, he completely destroyed Louisville on his own. When Fiske is playing at his best, he is using his strength and technique to power through the centre and counter combo-blocks with determination. Fiske does have a propensity to charge upright and expose his chest, which gives the other blocker’s opportunity to anchor against him.
