Garrett led a fearsome defence that sacked Burrow five times and reduced the Bengals (4-4) to 229 total yards, including 100 in the first half. Garrett arrived at FirstEnergy Stadium decked out in a Halloween costume.
In just three NFL seasons, Burrow has already seen a Super Bowl appearance. The Ohio native is 0-4 in his career starts against Cincinnati’s AFC North foe and has yet to defeat Cleveland.
In the course of trying to keep their season alive while waiting for quarterback Deshaun Watson to return from an 11-game ban, the Browns (3-5) snapped a four-game losing streak.
With a touchdown run and a touchdown pass from Jacoby Brissett, Cleveland defeated Cincinnati for the fifth time in a row. Outplaying Burrow, he finished 17 of 22 for 278 yards and a 133.7 rating.
Playing their greatest all-around game of 2022, the Browns jumped out to a 25-0 lead in the second half thanks to touchdowns from Chubb on runs of three and eleven yards, and Brissett adding a three-yard touchdown run and a four-yard pass to Amari Cooper.
