Being NFC champions twice is a very tough thing to accomplish—the last time it was done was by the Seattle Seahawks in 2013 and 2014. The Minnesota Vikings in 1973 and 1974 were the last conference champions to repeat as the losing NFC team in the Super Bowl. The 49ers will have to overcome that obstacle in 2024.

With free agency and the new league year right around the corner, here’s what every NFC team needs to improve upon in order to compete for the conference title.
If the Cardinals want to be competitive in 2024, they will require a lot of defensive support. In terms of points per play allowed (5.7), run yards allowed (143.2), third-down defence (47.3%), and sacks (33), Arizona ranked 29th in the league.
In addition, the Cardinals require their top wide receiver to be Kyler Murray. Marvin Harrison Jr. of Arizona might be selected if the Cardinals have the No. 4 pick, but there are other options available to them in the free agent market. One issue?
