Owner and president of the Los Angeles Lakers Jeanie Buss is prepared to marry Jerry Maguire star Jay Mohr. After confirming their engagement on Wednesday, December 21, TMZ revealed that the couple has been dating since 2017.
As soon as the news broke, earlier tweets from the former “Last Comic Standing” host—many of which contain racial slurs—resurfaced on the social media platform. This caused an outcry on Twitter. Mohr replied to a message on June 6, 2017, with a tweet that hasn’t been removed: “This n**** just got called corny.”
After LeBron James joined the Miami Heat in 2010 and departed the Cleveland Cavaliers, a fan retrieved one of Mohr’s tweets from that year about the Lakers star. “LeBron had to discuss it with his mother,” tweeted Mohr. He had to be a member of a team where the boys wouldn’t try to f*** her.
Neither Buss nor Mohr had responded to the criticism of their contentious tweets as of Wednesday night. “I’m all about keeping it 100!,” one fan tweeted, while another said, “I wish the Buss family would sell they are an entire mess right now with this organisation.” The proprietor of Clips was himself exposed as racist. He left. The racist owner of the Suns was exposed. He’s gone, but this Jeanie fiancée—if it was her—has vanished as well. NBA won’t take any action because it’s not her. However, that doesn’t improve things. She is still with him.
