Ugyen Dorji, 40, is the second Bhutanese coach to be engaged by the same club, following the signing of coach Chencho Dorji by Delhi-based Sudeva FC eleven months earlier.
Ugyen Dorji was the head coach of High Quality United FC, a team based in Thimphu, as well as the under-18 national squad of the Bhutan Football Federation (BFF). He is also one of the 12 football coaches in the nation with an A licence from the Asian Football Confederation.
From 1999 to 2002, he played defence for the national team.
He will coach Sudeva FC’s senior team and Under-18 team for a year, starting on November 2 after reporting to the new club.

On Saturday at the Lingkhar archery range in Trashigang, Team Return of Lotus defeated Team Nyamro Nga to win the seventh open Lingkhar archery championship.
The tournament was organised by Lingkhar Lodge in honour of HRH The Gyalsey’s birth.
This year’s competition started on January 27 and featured 20 teams from six eastern dzongkhags.
Each team had to pay Nu 15,000 to enter Lingkhar Lodge. In addition to a championship trophy, each of the five players in Champions Return of Lotus also received a refrigerator. The second runners-up received a 32-inch smart TV each, while the runners-up received washing machines.
An archer can play up to fifteen rounds under the combined rules of the Yangphel and Laya format games.

The federation competition will start before the end of next month, according to BFF officials.
The aim of giving female students this chance is to promote inclusive football growth, foster a dynamic football culture in schools, create a talent pool for the future, actively engage kids, and impart the necessary life skills.
Students have the opportunity to participate in professional football games thanks to BHSSFC.
Female students in classes XI and XII of high school are eligible to take part. Students from classes VII through X may, however, also attend schools with classes VII and above.
