NEWS:Pittsburgh steeler have done it again…….

The release of Allen Robinson II is a matter of when rather than if. Keeping him at his current cap hit makes no sense. The Steelers would save ten million dollars by cutting the seasoned receiver, money that would be better spent elsewhere. Robinson is far from the player who formerly merited that much of cap hit, even though he still has a ways to go.

Father time is still unbeaten, and it appears that Robinson is getting closer to retirement every day. He may still have a few more seasons left in him to play ball, but he will never again be able to play the kind of impact role that he did in his early career. It’s evident from watching him play that he has lost velocity and is unable to break away on routes.

In order to effectively fill their slot receiver position, Pittsburgh was hoping that their low-risk investment in Robinson would pay off. Although he performed admirably as a blocker, he was essentially invisible in the passing game. That will ultimately be the primary cause of Robinson’s cap death by

Ryan Tannehill has been publicly associated with the Pittsburgh Steelers ever since they appointed Arthur Smith as their new offensive coordinator.

If the Steelers signed Tannehill instead of going after one of the more well-known players available this offseason, it is likely that they would do so to have him back up for Kenny Pickett.

Maybe if he is truly brought in, that won’t be the way things remain.

Sports Illustrated’s Conor Orr made a bold prediction for every NFL team in 2024, and he said Ryan Tannehill would end up starting at least four games for the Steelers.

This isn’t a shot at Kenny Pickett; rather, it’s an admission that the Steelers face some pressure to play well.
