OHIO STATE: A GUIDE FOR SINGLE GAL VALENTINE’S DAY PARTICIPATION

I can relate to this sentiment all too well, but as I thought about what Valentine’s Day means to me this year, I saw that it doesn’t have to be only about romantic love—Valentine’s Day can also be an occasion to celebrate the love your friends and family bring into your life! And who doesn’t enjoy an excuse to dress in pink, put hearts on your flat and treat yourself to a little extra self-care and affection? This year, I made a self-promise to myself to focus on loving and appreciating my incredible group of friends rather than dwelling on my sadness over a romantic relationship.
I can make the most of my days here at Ohio State, and as a single woman, I’m going to make the most of Columbus on Valentine’s Day. Here are my plans for this Valentine’s Day; if you attend OSU and would like to treat yourself to some additional self-care, you should also adhere to this schedule!

It lets your thoughts roam in a constructive direction and makes you feel grateful for everything in your life. It is an incredible sensation to wake up on Valentine’s Day and allow your thoughts roam freely, especially if you are still in love with the guy who broke your heart.
