In a “note of thanks” to the British public, King Charles and Buckingham Palace have conveyed their gratitude for their support since the royal’s cancer diagnosis on Monday night.
Following his cancer diagnosis, King Charles has thanked Royal supporters in a 107-word message for their support and well-wishes.
After recently undergoing treatment in a hospital for a benign enlarged prostate, the monarch stunned the world by revealing on Monday evening, February 5, that he has the condition. After consulting with advisors, the King has begun a regimen of routine medical care but has decided to hold off on public appearances. Although the Palace has not disclosed the exact form of disease, it is certain that it is not prostate cancer.
In addition, Prince Harry made a quick trip back to the UK to see his father. According to reports, the visit lasted only 30 minutes and did not result in the long-awaited reconciliation between Prince William and the royal fan base.
His Majesty thanked the British people on Saturday evening, February 10, at Buckingham Palace for their support since the tragic news broke. It said, “I want to sincerely thank you for all of the supportive and well-wishful letters I have gotten over the past few days. Kind thoughts are the best consolation and encouragement, as everyone impacted by cancer knows.
It is equally encouraging to learn how disclosing my own illness has aided in raising awareness of the work of all the charities that support cancer patients and their families in the UK and throughout the world, as well as in fostering public understanding. The shocking revelation comes after the King’s hospital stay, the Princess of Wales’s severe abdominal surgery, and Sarah, Duchess of York’s skin cancer diagnosis at the beginning of 2024.
On January 16, Buckingham Palace declared that the King would receive treatment for a benign enlarged prostate. On Monday at 6 p.m., the Palace declared that the King had cancer.
