After hiring Ken Dorsey as his new offensive coordinator, Duce Staley has his new running backs coach, and more, Kevin Stefanski provided quotes to each of the new members of his staff with the Cleveland Browns.

Overhauling his offensive staff, former offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt was dismissed and has now landed with the New England Patriots. Staley has replaced Stump Mitchell as running backs coach, and T.C. McCartney was replaced with Tommy Rees as the tight ends coach (who was also given the passing game specialist title.

They made one change on the defensive side of the ball as well, bringing in Jacques Cesaire as their new defensive line coach.

The Browns have officially announced those hires now, and the head coach provided quotes on each of the new members of his staff. Here is what Stefanski had to say about his new offensive coordinator and the other three hires made to his staff.

Mary Kay Cabot has more than 30 years experience covering the Cleveland Browns for The Plain Dealer and Cleveland.com, and was inducted into the Cleveland Press Club Hall of Fame in 2022. She is a two-time finalist for the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Bill Nunn Award, given to an NFL writer with a long and distinguished career. She is also one of 49 selectors for the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and one of only four females. She has won multiple writing awards, including an Ohio AP award for enterprise. She earned her degree in journalism from Kent State University, where she graduated summa cum laude from the honors college while also participating in athletics.

Before covering the Browns, she covered the Cleveland Force Major Indoor Soccer League for three years, and many other sports for The Plain Dealer.

In addition to writing, she appears in daily Browns videos for Cleveland.com and on a daily podcast called Orange and Brown Talk.

She also serves as a Browns analyst for WKYC-TV in Cleveland and radio stations such as 92.3 The Fan, and WTAM 1100.

She is a frequent guest on national radio, TV and podcasts, and has the largest Twitter following of any local NFL beat writer.

She has blazed a trail for women in sports journalism, while raising three now-adult children with her husband. A native of Cleveland, she has a magical vision for the city.
