According to officials, well-known Pakistani national snooker player Majid Ali committed suicide in the Punjab area of his home country. Ali was allegedly experiencing severe despair. The 28-year-old player, who took home bronze in the 2018 World 6-Red Snooker Championship and silver in the 2013 Asian Under 21 Snooker Championship, was apparently suffering from depression for the previous few years before taking his own life on Saturday.

According to the police, Ali, a native of Faisalabad, which is about 130 km from Lahore, killed himself with an electric saw.
