Among some of biggest needs the Browns have this offseason is bolstering their wide receiver room with another reliable weapon for quarterback Deshaun Watson.
Watson already made a public plea of his own for last week for Bengals wideout Tee Higgins to join him in Cleveland
If Cincinnati has anything to say about it Higgins won’t even hit the open market, but there will be plenty of other options for the Browns to sift through.
This week, Brad Spielberger of Pro Football Focus identified one that could be an option for general manager Andrew Berry to consider.
Tasked with identifying the best fit for quarterback and wide receiver free agents to be, Spielberger listed Vikings wideout K.J. Osborn as a viable receiver option for the Browns.
In four seasons in the NFL, Osborn has hauled in 158 passes for 1,845 yards and 15 touchdowns. His real breakout season came in 2021 where he caught 50 passes and racked up career highs in yards (655) and touchdowns (seven).
One year later, he caught 10 more passes but had five less yards receiving and two less touchdowns.
His numbers took an even bigger dip this past season after the emergence of rookie wideout Jordan Addison.
Despite the dropoff and some drop issues over the years, Osborn has still proven he can be a nice third or fourth option for an offense. He spent the majority of the 2021 and 2022 seasons playing in the slot but was moved into an outside role in 2023.
The Browns are likely to be in the market for a wide receiver this offseason and Pro Football Focus considers Cleveland a good fit for a Vikings free agent to be
