Man from the Houston Texans was deadi for a few hours.

The late Chris Smith, who joined the league through the 2014 NFL Draft, played eight seasons in the league for seven different teams until concluding his professional career in 2021 with the Texans.

The driver of the second car, a 47-year-old woman, later admitted to having consumed alcohol.

Haven Harris, the daughter of Smith and Cordero, was born just four weeks before to the terrible event.
